As a parent, an educator, and the Director of Precious Lighthouse Academy, I carry a deep concern for this generation of children growing up in the 21st century.
We are living in a time where almost everything has moved to screens.
Children scroll more than they read.
They watch more than they reflect.
And slowly, the love for books, imagination, and deep thinking is fading.
What concerns me most is not just screen time, but what is shaping their minds through those screens.
So much of the content children consume today subtly carries distorted morals, confused identities, and values that normalise darkness while making truth seem outdated.
Over time, what enters a child’s mind becomes the pattern of their thinking, and eventually, who they become.
As adults, we cannot afford to be passive.
This is why, after much prayer and reflection, I felt led to create digital storytelling and books stories that meet children where they are, but lead them where they should go.
These stories will be:
• Available digitally (because that is the world our children live in)
• Shared on our website, Facebook page, and through a downloadable app
• Rich in strong morals, godly values, identity, courage, and hope
• Designed to build character, not confuse it
• Stories that nourish the mind, not cloud it
This is not about rejecting technology;
it is about redeeming it.
My heart is to protect young minds from being shaped by negativity, fear, and confusion, and instead to raise children of light, children who know who they are, why they were created, and how to stand firm in a world that often celebrates what is wrong and rejects what is right.
Our children are precious.
Their minds are sacred ground.
And whatever we allow to infiltrate them today will shape tomorrow.
These stories are written with love, prayer, and purpose : to gently guide children toward Christ-centred identity, strong morals, and the destiny God has placed within them.
