Prophetic Prayer and Decree for Righteousness

Heavenly Father, God of all righteousness,

We come before Your throne in humble admiration of Your perfect moral character.

You are the embodiment of righteousness—just, holy, and true.

We declare that Your righteousness is the standard by which we absolutely choose to live. According to 1 John 2:29, we affirm that because You are righteous, we are born of You and are called to practice righteousness every day.

Father, by Your Spirit, we decree:
• We walk justly and do what is lawful and right in Your sight, just as Ezekiel 18:5-9 commands.

We refuse to partake in idolatry, immorality, oppression, injustice, or greed.

Instead, we give bread to the hungry, clothing to the naked, and freedom to those in debt.

• Our lips speak righteous words; our speech is reverential, scriptural, prophetic, exemplary, edifying, courteous, and honest (Prov 16:13; Phil 1:14; Titus 2:8; 1 Peter 4:11; Prov 10:11; Eph 4:29; Col 4:6; Eph 4:25).

Our mouths are wells of life, full of grace and truth.

• Our hearts are pure and blameless before You.

We walk with clean hands and pure hearts, not elevating idols nor engaging in deceit (Psalm 24:4-5; Phil 1:10, 2:15; 2 Corinthians 4:2).

Our thoughts are aligned with Your righteousness (Prov 12:5).

• We perform secret acts of righteousness even when none see, like Joseph, Jacob, and Nehemiah, with integrity and conviction (Gen 39:8-9; Neh 5:14-15; 1 Sam 24:5-6).

• We serve and bless our enemies, refuse bribes, care for the needy, and honor Your creation with humility and temperance (Romans 12:17-21; Exodus 23:8; Isaiah 58:7-8; Prov 12:10; Luke 18:13-14; Daniel 1:8).

• Our eyes are clean, judging righteously and acting fairly with no partiality or injustice (2 Chronicles 19:6-7; Prov 28:21; John 7:24).

• We walk obediently in Your statutes and keep Your judgments blamelessly (Luke 1:6; Psalm 18:20-22).

• We are uncompromising in your truth, standing firm with clean knees and sincere hearts (Job 17:9; Acts 4:19-20; Lev 19:35-36).

• Like Abraham, we believe You and trust Your promises, for our righteousness is accounted by faith in You (Galatians 3:6).

Therefore, we boldly decree:
• We are delivered from every affliction, for You deliver the righteous out of them all (Psalm 34:19).

Our posterity is secured and thriving, because of Your covenant faithfulness (Prov 11:21).

• We are immovable and stable; though we may fall, we rise by Your sustaining hand (Psalm 37:17-19; Prov 24:16; Psalm 55:22).

• We inherit Your Kingdom, joining the righteous who forever dwell in Your presence with joy and peace (Matthew 25:34; 1 John 2:29).

• Our prayers are powerful and effective; You hear and answer us according to our righteousness (James 5:16; Psalm 34:15-17).

• We walk in Your illumination and divine counsel, guided by Your secret wisdom every step (Prov 3:32).

• We flourish and succeed, living with satisfaction and abundance in every area of life (Isaiah 33:15-16; Psalm 92:12; Psalm 37:19).

• You increase our power and strength; as we hold fast to righteousness, we grow stronger and stronger (Psalm 75:10; Job 17:9; 2 Samuel 3:1).

• We are surrounded by Your favor as with a shield; Your joy and gladness fill our hearts as we rejoice in You (Psalm 5:12; Psalm 97:11-12).

Lord, teach us to live righteously, strengthen us in our walk, and help us walk worthy of Your calling.

Let righteousness be our clothing and our defense.
In the mighty and righteous Name of Jesus Christ, we declare and decree these things.

Amen.
