Triumph in Dying to Self

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior,

we come before Your throne with reverence and gratitude.

We declare that we have partaken of the Table of the Lord, proclaiming boldly the death of Jesus Christ and all the wondrous benefits it brings to our lives today.

Lord Jesus, by Your vicarious death on the cross, You secured for us Victory over every power of Satan; just as Hebrews 2:14 declares, You destroyed him who held the power of death.

We claim that victory now, dismantling every stronghold and spiritual attack.

We confess that the world and its systems have been crucified to us, and we to the world (Galatians 6:14).

We thank You that through Your death we are no longer slaves to sin, but freed to live righteously (Romans 6:5–8).

Father, grant us grace to die to ourselves daily—our old nature, fleshly desires, and selfish ambitions—so we may live fully in the resurrection power of Christ.

May our old man be crucified with Him, and by this daily death, may we be continually renewed into Your likeness.

By Your sacrifice, Jesus, You put an end to the sacrificial rituals for sin, once and for all (Hebrews 10:10-14).

We worship You, the Lamb slain, the foundation of our worship and the source of our kingship and priesthood to reign on earth (Revelation 5:6-14).

We rejoice that Your death appeased God’s righteous wrath and brought peace between God and man (Isaiah 53:5; Romans 3:25; Romans 5:10).

Lord, we receive reconciliation through Your blood; You broke down the walls of enmity and made us one body, abolishing every division (Ephesians 2:14-16).

We embrace the unshakable evidence of Your love and obedience demonstrated in laying down Your life for us (John 15:13; Romans 5:8).

May that love rule our hearts so we live sacrificially and obediently each day.

Open the eyes of our spiritual blindness, Father, so that as we commune with You—like the disciples on the road to Emmaus—we recognize Your presence and are transformed by Your truth (Luke 24:30-31).

Unravel every deceptive alliance and expose any hidden sin or spirit not belonging to Christ within us.

Keep us vigilant and pure at Your Table.

We thank You for supernatural access to Your throne of grace, boldly entering into Your presence for mercy and timely help (Hebrews 4:16; 10:19-20).

Empower us as we walk in the amplifying power of Your Spirit, living in the fullness of all Your benefits.

Lord Jesus, as we die daily to self, may Your resurrection life shine through us, that we might reign in life by Your abundant grace (Romans 5:17-18).

May Your healing stripes manifest in our bodies and spirits (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).

Strengthen us to walk in love, empowered by the gifts of Your death, for Your glory and the advance of Your Kingdom.

Amen
